Where they differ
Chip-EV against ICM
SnapShove's ranges come from a chip-EV Nash solution. ICMIZER runs ICM and Nash calculations with the prize structure included, so bubble and final-table spots come out differently. SnapShove's website has an ICM calculator for prize equity, but the app's ranges stay chip-EV.
Phone against desktop
SnapShove is an iOS and Android app. ICMIZER is a Windows and macOS program, with mobile practice sold as an add-on to PRO.
Where the practice sits
SnapShove includes training simulations on every tier, the free one too. ICMIZER's quiz, MTT Coach, is part of PRO, with a daily question allowance.

Where Push Fold Trainer fits
Push Fold Trainer sits between the two. It has ICM ranges like ICMIZER and scored practice like SnapShove's training mode, plus preset opponent profiles to practise against, which we found no way to do in either of them. It runs in a browser rather than as a desktop program or an iPhone app, and it has no hand-history replayer.
ICMIZER vs SnapShove: common questions
- Is SnapShove or ICMIZER better for the bubble?
- ICMIZER, because its calculations include the payout structure. SnapShove's ranges are chip-EV, which values every chip the same and so ignores the cost of busting near a pay jump.
- Which is cheaper?
- SnapShove, tier for tier. Its Core tier is $3.99 a month for shove lookups only, and Unlimited, which adds calling and reshove, is $9.99. ICMIZER Basic is $17.99 and ICMIZER PRO, with the quiz and replayer, is $32.99. SnapShove also sells a separate one-off Pro app, $54.99 on the App Store. None of SnapShove's options includes ICM ranges, which is the main thing ICMIZER's price buys.
